The Microsoft BI Professionals - Wisconsin is an official chapter of the Professional Association for SQL Server and is also a recognized Microsoft Power BI User Group. Our objective is to provide a forum for Wisconsin Business Intelligence professionals of all levels to network, ask questions, share knowledge and expertise with other members. We plan to meet quarterly. Meetings are always FREE and food is provided. Details about the next meeting can be found on this page.

In conjunction with our quarterly meetings which cover all areas of the Microsoft BI stack, we will be offering Power BI specific meetings on a monthly basis (when there is no quarterly meeting). Those meetings will be posted here as well and we will keep group members updated via email.

Join us on the Power BI Community site and create an account. You can use the site to ask any questions and also affiliate yourself to our particular User Group!  Win prizes and swag for group and community participation.

PASS Summit 2016

SEATTLE, WA

OCTOBER 25 - 28, 2016

Topic:

Dashboard in an Hour / Q&A Open Forum Discussion

 Intro:

This month’s meeting is going to be focused on the Power BI beginner. This will be more of an informal Q&A session where everyone is invited to participate in answering or asking questions about using Power BI. We’ll walk through the “Dashboard in an Hour” as a guide and facilitator of discussion. For more experienced users, we’d love to have you share some of your tips and tricks as well, so be sure to attend!

On top of that, I have some extremely exciting news about our next PUG meeting at the end of August, so you don’t want to miss out on this meeting!

To start this meeting off, bring an example of your favorite visual and how you’ve used it. (we’ll have all the connectors needed to make this an easy transition between laptops). This can be any visual that you have used or would like to share some tips and tricks about when you were working with it. There are so many visuals and formatting options are always different, so your direct experience is worth sharing!
